How AI Could Impact What You Pay for Flights

Artificial intelligence is tapping into all parts of our lives, and now it’s deciding how much we pay for airline tickets, too. Delta Airlines is bringing AI into flight pricing, and people aren’t exactly thrilled.
The airline is testing it on some domestic flights and wants to expand it by the end of the year. A few senators called them out, saying it could lead to higher fares and privacy issues, but Delta’s response assures travelers that they are not using people’s personal data to set prices.

You don’t need to stress about AI messing with your flight prices just yet. It’s definitely a wait-and-see situation. Most fares aren’t even affected, and some airlines, like American, don’t want anything to do with it. You could try booking through different sites or using a VPN if you want to feel extra safe, but there’s no real trick right now. For now, it’s the same old game of shopping around for deals or waiting for them to come to you.

It’s no small cost to take an African safari when you total up flights, food, accommodation, and safari tours. Don’t even ask me how much I paid for mine last year. I get queasy just thinking about it, but it was worth every penny!
